Dude, I want to be a teacher so that those who pass through my classroom can walk away knowing that within this uneducated education system, there exists a safe place where questions are welcomed, critical thought is encouraged, creativity can flourish, and mutual respect is an absolute given. I want to help work within and against the system to instigate and perpetuate change, whatever the scale, wherever it begins, whoever it travels to. I want to grow a love for learning and care the individual person. I do not want to be discouraged, nor do I believe myself too naïve for believing this possible.
